CCA Preservative Treating

Long term protection from fungal decay is provided with
pressure impregnated CCA preservatives that will extend
the life of western red cedar shake and shingles.
This is reccommended for use in high moisture areas.
Material warranties on the preservative treatment are
available from the treatment manufacturers.

Fire Retardants
|

|
|
|
Permanent fire protection is provided by pressure
impregnating fire retardant polymers into the innermost
cells of cedar shakes and shingles to meet Class B and C
testing standards. Class A type roof assemblies can be
achieved by using a Class B treated shake along with an
approved underlayment.
